I have neither of these, although I'll most certainly be getting the DCC version.
Still, I'm curious if anyone has compared the two.
thanks!
Zoo,
Stick with the DCC on this one. The MFSL version sounds bottom heavy compared with Steve's. The DCC sounds very vinyl compared to the mofi. A Day At The Races is very good compared to other cd versions but alas, vinyl is the way to go for the natural sound. :)

When did they announce "A Day at the the Races".
I have both versions of "Night at the Opera" and the DCC has a Better (Deeper) soundstage then the MFSL, witch is way better then the Hollywood Records version (Flat and Thin).
Elton,
I believe you may have misunderstood. Dcc only has A Night At The Opera so far but according to one of Steves early posts on this board there are other Queen in the works. I also believe that the Dcc's instruments sound much more real (natural) than the Mofi. Cheers :D

I don't think DATs were around yet back then!

Both the LP and CD DCC of "ANATO" is possibly the most impressive remaster Queen has ever had. (Peter Mew did the Crown Jewel box set, which is great, but induces the famous Mew headache).
I talked to Steve about this one, and he said, if I remember correctly "a piece of cake" to remaster. I own the LP and CD of this Hoffman effort. If ever there was a top 10 of DCC's, this would be on the list, maybe in the 5 or 6 area.
I really hope to see "ADATR" done, to hear the piano of "Somebody To Love" blossom in the soundstage. If only this one was done, both would make a perfect pair. I liked the MFSL, but it wasn't phenominal. "The Game" was great though.
