Hi All,

I was rearranging my video/audio equipment in my family room and...to make a long story short, accidently (did not have my glasses on) tried to plug the power supply of my Entech 203.2 into the optical input on the DAC, instead of the power input......stupid, I know. I saw and smelled smoke coming from the power supply plug.

Anyway, it is dead....

I am no electrician. How can I tell if it is the DAC or the power supply which is bad? And...how do I get it fixed? It did not cost me much, but inexpensive DACs are hard to come by

Help!

Usually the power supply will be warm if it's plugged into the wall. If it is cold it's probably dead.

I've owned an Entech for a while and their built like a tank.

Good luck.

Radio Shack could probably sell you a new power supply. Make sure the DC voltage coming out of the power supply is the same.
