I recently bought the drivers and crossovers from a pair of Fisher XP 7B speakers. I am going to attempt to re-capture something of the sound of the console I first heard Duane Allman and Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, etc. guitars on, I suppose I'll need a Fisher 400 reciever as well. For now, I am looking for any help I can get on building the cabinets for the Fisher Speakers. I don't have any idea even what the dimensions were on the cainets my drivers came from. Any help is appreciated. Mark:)

If you have the following specs for your woofer you can calculate the box size, either ported or sealed: Qts(resonant factor); Vas (equivalent air load); Fs(resonant frequency)

There are several web sites that have freeware box size calculators that you can use.

Good Luck! HG

Fisher speakers (like the XP 7B) aren't highly sought around here ... and therefore go cheap ($40 or less a pair) ... don't know about Northern CA ... it might be easier ... and probably less expensive ... to buy a pair of XP 7Bs than to make cabinets for your drivers.

I have a pair of XP 7S's (need refoaming) ... bought new in the early '70s ... that I would give you (if you lived close by).

Check out AudioKarma (http://audiokarma.org/) ... lots of good info there.
