What dissolves celluose and not vinyl?

I have some glue or paper or someting stuck on a new record I can't get off with my 16.5 wet vac. Is there a solvent friendly to vinyl but will dissolve paper or paper glue? It's pretty nasty and stuck on pretty good.

Just make sure you rinse it off good. It works, just be gentle.

sweet awesome. that goo gone is potent suff. i have used it to remove emblems and reflectors off my motorcycle and car and it was gentle on paint but got rid of the adhesive. thanks.
