Hi folks... tell me what's your favorite board???

My favorite one is Steve's board... definitely! Or where do you find a webboard, where you can talk with the mastering guru Steve Hoffman?
It would be the same... a White House webboard, and you can post with George Bush :o

Anyway the best forum on the planet!!! Period!!!

I go to different forums for different things.

I go to ICE to kick back and have some fun while sharing (and arguing) about various opinions about music. Not much tech talk there.

I go to BSN for info about oldies, some of the history and innerworkings of the music of my youth. Most are still stuck in the 50s-60s, which is fine.

I go to Syntrillium's forum for the tech stuff, and because I am a loyal Cool Edit user. We also discuss music on occasion.

I go to Audioforums not to engage in the stupid, immaturish name-calling but to get technical info about computer recording.

I come here for all of that.

I just wish there were forums that were geared more towards 60s-70-80s soul/funk music, as most contributers to sites are either into pop or classic rock. The ones geared for more contemporary music or soul are mostly made up of people who aren't seriously interested in collecting or the technical side of things.

There have been other sites but they just don't hold my interest for long.

I used to like the DCC forum...

Now this one... SH Forum is my fave...

I liked the DCC forum because it was always (or mostly always) civil... Members didn't engage in foul name calling or get way off into some wacky "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude.

Here, its the same... only better! Everyone seems to be really interested in having a friendly place to share ideas, hear great stories, get information and discuss opinions... have a laugh or two.

That's what a forum should be... IMO anyway.

Thaks for a great forum Steve!! :D

I'm a hifi junkie so www.audioasylum.com is my first port of call each evening when I get home. Catching up there usually takes me through my first stubbie of Anchor Steam. Then I log in here.

AudioAsylum members include many well-known names in the hifi industry. So like here, you can communicate with some extremely knowledgeable folk.

I like the feature of this board that allows me to show the threads with new posts and easily plough through the unread messages. Very nice.

I've never bothered with other boards but I do scan audioasylum for information and opinions once in a while. But this board is amazing! I can't believe the collective knowledge that people have! There are industry insiders, other music engineers, audiophiles, and.... well who knows!

Then there is Steve Hoffman! Well I guess he HAS to participate now since it's HIS board! And the obvious advantage is that anything done by Steve will be posted. So if DCC decides to churn out the product and hire other engineers as well as Steve, we can still identify a superior Hoffman disc.

You WILL post every project that you completed, right Steve? :) Holy Zoo, can we have a "current" completed Hoffman disc list so we know what to shop for? We have a "projects in the works" list already!

:)
