Hi
Is anyone here a fan of the documentary TV series Connections presented by James Burke? I have Series 2 and 3 and am wondering if the remastered Series 1 is an improvement over the earlier DVD version.

I live in New Zealand and the current sellers (http://www.documentary-video.com/displayitem.cfm?vid=854) will not ship to me here.

Anyone know a reseller/source who will?

Thanks in advane
Brett

I don't know anything about that DVD set, but I really love the series! They used to show it on the Discovery channel fairly often.

I'd forgotten all about these, didn't know about the DVDs. Great, great series.

Hmmm, just searched Amazon UK and only found one (region 1) second hand set of series two, the seller wants nearly £85, jeez.

Yep, I'm a fan, too. I really looked forward to his video version of a 'thread', if there ever was such a thing.

My ex-wife just got me an audio copy of his book, "The Day the Universe Changed" - similar stories. Makes for great party trivia, too!

Cheers,

David

They seem to be pretty expensive. I see the Series 1 set on Ebay for around $115 USD but this appears to be the earlier version with the "jigsaw" style cover (ie unremastered) hence my query "is there much of a difference".
Hey, maybe the earlier version is a flat transfer!! And if I could only find the Target disk design.....;)
