So the Verus and platter are in da house. What's in the lower case? Is this a 320, or just an upgrade?

BTW... good luck, let us know how everything works (don't leave out the details!)

It's a 340.

I am waiting for some extra muscle to show up to get it out of the crate !

What is this thread about, exactly?

Is that a Teres turntable?

Yes it is about my new Teres.

Setup was fairly straightforward if you are Schwarzenegger clone :p

Thing weighs a ton.

Had one disappointment though, the main armboard was drilled for the wrong Schroeder so I have not been able to use my Schroeder/Allaerts MC1b MKII combo. New armboard should be here Tuesday. Bummer.

Even with everything placed horribly, on a carpeted floor, sitting next to a speaker, cables and power cords and interconnects all over themselves, this table is a dramatic improvement over my Clearaudio. I never knew what folks meant when they talked about a "black background". I know now.

Detail is also a dramatic improvement. My wife even noticed it and she could care less about audio. Give her an AM radio and she'd be happy;)

I can't compare it to the Teres belt drive, but the Verus motor is about the simplest thing in the world to set up. Stand it up so it's touching the platter. Turn it on.

Very easy to level with the huge adjustable feet. (Again, if your Schwarzenegger)

Can't wait for my rack to be finished in a few weeks so I can set everything up properly, but until then, I am still having tons of fun.

Geez.....it almost doesn't matter what it sounds like.

It's so beautiful I'd be happy just to sit and look at it :)

GET THAT THING OFF THE FRIGGIN FLOOR!!!! Well, you know. Just wait till you get that new armboard, you gonna be in real heaven. For some reason I thought the Verus sat further away from the plinth. How quiet is the motor?

McIntosh

The motor is dead quiet. And simple to set up. Stand it up straight so the wheel is resting on the platter. Done.

Sure hope the armboard shows up today.

GET THAT THING OFF THE FRIGGIN FLOOR!!!!

I'd love to, but until the rack is buil it's gonna have to stay there. :D

Now that I've had a good look at your pictures I see that you have the dual arm board version. I also see you have the VTA adjuster on the back board. Is the Rega eventually going on that?
