Did anybody catch this film this weekend? I didn't like it very much, but the reviews have been relatively good.
It's about a newspaper reporter (Josh Hartnett) who does a story on a homeless man played by Samuel Jackson because he claims to be boxer Bob Satterfield. I don't know, the whole father to son thing was laid on too thick for my taste. I can't really say much beyond that without giving it away.
I'd never seen Josh Hartnett in a film before that I can recall, but I wasn't all that impressed with his performance. He didn't have much edge. It didn't help that I didn't like his character either. Other than that, I generally enjoyed the cast. Nice to see Alan Alda and Peter Coyote in supporting roles. YMMV.
