I've heard that those cd disc lens cleaners that you can buy anywhere are bad for cd players and can scratch the laser lens? What about the slightly more expensive carbon fiber cd disc lens cleaners, which are basically the same thing with better brushes? Someone told me the safest way is to take the machine apart and blow the laser off with compressed air, but what a pain! What about Super VHS machines? Are those cleaning tapes safe?? Any advice would be appreciated.
