...what's the **most** you've paid for a single DCC disc (because you couldn't find it anywhere else)...?
I thought this might be more interesting than a "great bargains" thread, 'cos we've all managed to land a few of those (like the $5.00 that I paid for the mint-condition gold DCC sampler at a used record store!).
I just thought it might be nice to show Steve (and the other folks at DCC) just **how much** we love their work!
My spendy disc: $45.00 for a copy of "Highway 61 Revisited"... just got it last night on Ebay. Should be here next week, and after reading so much about it, I'm **really** looking forward to it!!
Anybody else?

Hrmm...I think I've been pretty lucky to not get past $35 or so on a single disc title. Wheels Of Fire was more, but that was obviously a 2 CD set. As a matter of fact, I only paid $40 for WoF!
At the other end, I think the least I've paid is $10 or $15, for some cut-outs. Pretty nice, as the only cut-out damage is to a small bit of the slip case and the jewel case itself. And, since they were lift-lock cases, it really didn't matter!
Still trying to get a copy of Straight Up...

I spent $40 each for sealed copies of Night Moves & Highway 61 Revisited. I also spent $40 each for promotional copies ("Not For Sale" printed on the hub) of Ringo and Wings At The Speed Of Sound respectively.
Lastly, I am guilty of shelling out $25 and $40 for copies of the DCC promotional sampler cd. After I mixed and matched the best components of both copies to make one mint copy for myself, I sold the lower grade copy on eBay for $80. I was in no way expecting that much as I listed the description as only VG condition and started the auction at $9.99 with no reserve.

I paid $8 for Night Moves used, and around $32 for Highway 61.
Ok guys,
I'm up here in Canada where DCC is really hard to come by. The least expensive DCC was Bob Dylan, Hi-way 61 $5.00 US. vg+ condition though. The most expensive was the Sampler $84.00 US. in completely mint cond. "Ouch"

$50 dollars for the World of Ray Charles Vol.1-4 and the same for Endless Summer. Of course in Japan I have become accustomed to paying $30 dollars for a regular CD without batting an eye, so paying $50 dollars for Steve’s work just doesn’t bother me. :)

I paid $50 for Bob Seger "Night Moves", but would pay $150 if we could get the Bob Seger people to let us have "Stranger In Town"!!

if you haven't already, anyone looking for inexpensive gold CDs should check out www.musicforasong.com (

true, they are cut outs; but for the price you can't beat 'em.

Never paid more than 30 dollars on a DCC disc.
Media Play sells em for 24.99.. And I've bought directly from DCC as well, for under 30.

All you have to do is strike when the iron is hot. I'm basically doing the same with the 45RPM Classic Records releases.... If any titles interest me, I get them within the month. Else, they go up to $100 a set after they go out of print, usually.
I can't believe there are people selling DCC titles for $75-$100 on ebay, half.com, etc. and getting away with it. They're usually not THAT hard to find, either!
Anyway, the most I've ever paid for a DCC title was $40 (after S&H) for Highway 61 Revisited. For awhile, it was tough getting it for less than $50 on ebay, even though there were always a few copies selling at once every day, but after a few months of oversaturation, the price plumetted.

$34 for Sonny Rollins' "Saxophone Colossus".
$48.95 (standard price around here) for CCR, McCartney, Doors, etc. But that's Canadian $ - $35.00 USD or so. Well worth the price.
On the other hand, I am Very Seriously thinking of doing the "e-bay bendover" to get my hands on some DCC Tull. If they are not reprinted they will skyrocket in price soooo badly...!!
Or should I wait for the new catalogue to come out...
Arrrghhh!!!!!
