I believe Disney's last animated good movie was Emperor's New Groove...
Brother Bear? Yawn. Lilo & Stitch? Nice, but not really outstanding in any way. Captain Planet, or Planet Treasure, or whatever? What is that?
I remember when Disney used to give us an Oscar-worthy contender every year. Now they sell us stuff like Chicken Little.
Thankfully, there's always Pixar.

I loved Emperor's New Groove, still do.
I actually think Lilo & Stitch was a wonderful little movie, something that should've paved the way to a new, more efficient way of production. Sadly it didn't happen.
What was their last hand-drawn feature called...Home on the Range was it? I remember catching a bit of it on cable and just wanting to cry. Total disaster, missing any hint of wit or heart. You could almost hear the poor animators crawling to the finish line to pick up their severance checks. A total disgrace to the Disney legacy. :sigh:

I expect the drought to end with John Lassetter now running Disney Animation. That should go a long way toward attracting new creative talent.

In fact, I expect a major comeback, driven personally by Lasseter and Jobs, like 'em or not... Disney's been up and down several times over decades... the up times seem to happen when they play down the peripheral stuff (theme parks, direct-to-video, network TV) and focus on the core business – animation... and the core of animation is characters and stories.
The last feature I'd grade as 'good' is Mulan... saw the next two or three, and gave up.
They'll be back... they always come back.

I think that Lilo and Stitch was excellent as well. Very funny, great characters, and beautifully drawn (did you notice the clouds, which were patterned after the ones in Dumbo?).

I liked Meet the Robinsons, especially in 3-D.

It was good... very good, but certainly not a classic. Remember when Disney made The Little Mermaid / Beauty & The Beast / The Lion King back to back? Those were the days (years!).
Actually, I can't believe I now think of "Emperor" as a Disney classic, but considering what they are doing now, it certainly looks like one.

I don't know if I'd consider "Emperor" a classic either but it sure was a lot of fun. The voice casting for it was perfectly especially the performances by Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton.

I took my kid to watch Brother Bear and he did enjoy it. Not a FANTASTIC animated movie, but GOOD.
