A GREAT place for all that is CD-R and CD-R burning for the computer!
While nosing around, I came upon some distressing info about all those Sony CD-Rs I just burned, and some confirmation about Yamaha discontinuing their involvement in optical media.:realmad:
Anyway, a lot of these guys know their stuff and do all kinds of testing on everything!
I will make that place a regular stop from now on!

Grant,
I have been using a lot of Sony's lately (without incident) but, I could not find any comments in that Forum. I probably missed them.

I must say, I have been using these newer Sony blanks for over a year now, and they all have burned very well and hold up very well. I haven't had a single problem in the four PC burners i've used them in. Perhaps Sony demanded the contractor they use tighten up their standards like TDK did with Ritek.
One thing, these same people bash CMC made blanks but I have been using CMC-made Imation CD-Rs with no problem whatsoever! Not a single one has crapped out on me. But then, Not only is Ritek starting to get praise, their CD-R is being tested along with the likes of Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.
My Yamaha F1 really likes the Taiyo Yuden and Sony with the latest firmware revision. The AMQ feature is the icing on the cake!

I just realized that the place isn't quite as active as I thought. Still, a useful site.
