The Muppet show season 2 comes out this week. Anyone know how many of the acts survived the chopping block?
At this point, it's foolish to assume this will come out without edits although I'd love to be wrong.

I hope they actually put the eps in ORDER this time. The first season was so haphazard.

The Muppet Show really took off with season 2. It took so long to release this, I was afraid they'd given up on complete season sets.
I know Circuit City and Best Buy are charging $29.99, while J&R in New York is getting $26.99.

Been told Circuit City is selling the "Muppets: Season 1" Box for $21.99 next week.

It's uncut and unedited according to toughpigs.com. :righton:

I had been looking forward to this release: Season 2 featured many of my favorite guest stars on the show.

The Elton John episode might be the best one ever, but I've always been partial to the Swedish Chef. I haven't seen "The Ant and the Grasshopper" (Bernadette Peters epi) since TNT aired them in the early 90's.
I'm also glad there's no musical cuts. The one that gets me upset the most so far was Vincent Price and Uncle Deathly singing "You've Got a Friend"
Luckily it's on the Time-Life 45-episode collection.
Can't wait. Probably won't get to the store until Wednesday but definitely is a first-week purchase.

Same here. I heard that it took Disney some time to clear all the music rights.
I actually saw a television ad for this yesterday.

Great news that this is out! Looks like I'll have to spend more money, and I just bought Season Seven of Dallas and Season Two of Hawaii Five-O!

Looks like $27.99 at Amazon with free shipping is the best price. Anyone find a lower price? I'm not near J&R Music.

Sometimes they change prices quickly but J&R has a website and you can order from them online. Probably with shipping the Amazon route is the way to go but if you want to try J&R, they are at jr.com

Doesn't have the pop-up "commentary" that Vol. 1 had (which was pretty spotty, but still). Package is slightly less deluxe -- no booklet this time. Still, I can't imagine any Muppet fan doing without it.
Extras include the Valentines' special, a discussion among various "cast" members and a music video.
