had an LP that when it reached the end of it play wouldn't spin though the dw to activate the return mechanism? That just happened with my Carol King I'm Spinnin' glad I was here to ketch it. 78's do that alot. :)

I usually had the opposite problem with 78s - the turntable decided the record was done while the song was still playing.

where the arm, when it has reached the end groove and is making that final "click.... Puh, Click.......click... Puh.. sound? If it has reached the place closest to the paper label and the auto has not been triggered, there may be an adjustment you can make...

On many of the Technics, and perhaps other brands, there is a small plastic "plug" around 1/4" in diameter in a hole near the arm pivot area which can be popped out and below is a slotted mechanical adjustment device. If you move that with a tool like a screwdriver a bit, you may find the "Lift-Point" can be moved fore and aft of the last groove.

If you are instead finding that the record will not move the arm past the last groove of music... I don't know... perhaps the disc needs cleaning? Hope this helps.. Happy listening.. Rolf.
