I know the full version of Aerosmith's "Dream On (Live)" is on the soundtrack to "The Last Action Hero" and I know that it was used as the the accompanying music for the end credits.

My question is...

Is the version used on the end credits in the movie itself the full version or is it edited?

Well, I was really wanting to hear the full version in 5.1, but none of the local video stores had it on dvd. However, one had it on vhs. So, to satisfy my curiosity, as to whether or not the end credits had the full version, as is on the soundtrack, I spent a whole $2.14.

The answer is..........

Nope! The end credits has a hacked, choppy version that's about 1 1/2 minutes long. The original is almost 6 minutes!! And, they stuck it between a number of other songs. I mean, why even bother? I guess they just wanted the soundtrack to be moderately successful.

They probably figgured that if the movie wasn't going to be very good, the soundtrack might as well be. :) Most people don't stay through the whole credits so they had to fit bits of as many songs as possible in the end credits.
