I am hooked on TNT's dramas on Monday nights. It starts out with Heartland. then The Closer, and ends with Saving Grace. This is such a treat, no reality show, no game show, no dumb comedy in this household, and just good dramas for a change.

Is anyone else as happy about this summer lineup as I am? :)

I haven't wayched Heartland. I have Saving Grace recorded but have yet to see it. I've been watching The Closer since the beginning and love it. I wish TNT would have brought back the show they had on last year after The Closer. The one about the ambulance drivers. It wasn't the best show but I really liked it. Its funny, most of my favorite shows are on cable stations. The networks really need to step it up and quit trying to cash in on the latest reality trend. How about "So You Want To Watch A Good TV Show?"

I recorded Saving Grace and watched it last night (Tuesday).

I liked it. I've always been a fan of Holly Hunter, so that's what drew me in. It didn't knock me off my feet, but that's OK. I'll stick with it and see how it develops. The last scene (with her nephew at the Memorial) was probably the most powerful moment in the show.

Given that the first time i saw her was in Raising Arizona - about 20 years ago - i'd say she's aged well. :agree:

I dont think they are great shows, but I agree that all three are at least good. I would also agree that they make for a better night of TV than almost anything offered by the networks during the regular season.

I also enjoyed the new Glenn Close show which premiered on FX last night. It is fun to see talented actresses like Close, Sedgwick and Hunter get a chance to act even though they are not 25 years old anymore. Hollywood seems to think that all women die by the age of 40.

Where I live I have to wait for another station to pick up TNT shows so we get them much later but I love the episodes of The Closer I've seen. What a great character Kyra Sedgewick makes of her role. The show has a nice look and feel to it and some of the episodes are emotionally interesting.

I'm looking forward to Saving Grace. I'm also a big fan of Holly Hunter.

Saw Heartland for the first time last night (I taped it). It has possibilities. I like the fact that there are a handful of characters to share the load with Williams. Great to see "Vancouver" back. I was a big Stone Undercover (Canadian series) fan because of his acerbic wit. I hope the writers give him room to move. I've also been a big fan of the ex-wife since the Nero Wolfe series with Timothy (?) Hutton. She can act.

Always have been a Closer freak. Again, the cast makes the show. Not too much on one character.

Saved was a lot better than people gave it credit for. Good acting, decent writing. It could have gotten a little better, but it was better than most. I watched every episode and was disappointed that they didn't bring it back.

I was thinking the very same thing about Saved. I really liked that show and too, was disappointed when it wasn't renewed this year. I have not watched any other Monday night TNT shows, other that the Closer.

I hope Heartland wasn't canceled. When the adds for next week came on, all they mentioned were Closer and Saving Grace.
It is good to see the over 40 girls get good roles to play.

Yeah, I only watched The Closer because it was on before Saved. I liked it a lot better. I like both Tom Everett Scott and (especially) Elizabeth Reaser, and I'm disappointed it was replaced by another show with Treat Williams as a superstar surgeon (it's disorienting...where's Ephram?).

I like The Closer. I don't love it. I watch it if I'm home, but I don't tape it.

The Holly Hunter one I didn't like at all. Couldn't finish it.

I watched the new Glenn Close show last night. It's one of those "can't miss a single episode" serials, so I'm glad it's on FX (and ergo, won't be cancelled). But do I really want to watch another of those? Oh, well, I'll decide next Tuesday.
