the more i listen to CDs with my Capitole (as opposed to the lossless rips in my music library), the more i notice that the toslink output from my MBP (while good) is inferior to the built in CD transport. the cd transport has a sense of air and weight that is missing from the toslink input (i've reburnt my rips to CD and compared them to the computer output, and they sound the same as the original CDs, so it's not an encoding artifact). any chance of the HagUSB (AES/EBU version) making up some of the difference? thanks!

The HAGUsb is great! For 119, you can't go wrong!!

We've had one for a while and have been very happy with it. If you want to spend more money, the Benchmark DAC-1 is quite good too and it now has USB connection

well, i just need the transport itself, not a DAC (i have an Audio Aero Capitole MkII), but it's great to hear that the HAGUSB is very good! i know what i'll be buying soon!
