Yes. I'm still having problems with my M-Audio 24/96 card. It records from my turntable in stereo (I can see it in the waveform). but plays back in mono. I also ripped the same track from a CD (yes, it's stereo), and that also plays back in mono. I have the latest driver, and have in fact just wiped out my hard drive and started from scratch to try to solve this problem. No luck!

Does anyone know why it would be playing back only in mono?I have since tried plugging my headphones right into the connections from my sound card - glorious stereo! I have the whole thing run through a KVM switch to go from one computer to another, but I can't see how that would suddenly go to mono only. I just found this - after I submitted the original post, so more testing is needed. I'm going to see if the other computer I have plugged into the switch works in stereo - that might give me a clue...

Do you have all of the port pan controls panned hard left and hard right as in the pic below? They are the horizontal sliders above the "Solo" boxes. If they are in the centre (or close to the middle), then you will have mono playback, if you are in "Monitor Mixer" mode during playback (Patchbay / Router).

If that isn't the problem, I don't know what else to suggest.

I have since tried plugging my headphones right into the connections from my sound card - glorious stereo! This would bypass the "Monitor Mixer" in the software, AFAIK.

how did u plug your headphones into the sound card, this sound card is rca out only right. Does the monitor mixer show that it is stereo but it comes out of the speakers mono. I had a similar problem make sure u aren't using some type of mono cable somewhere like a headphone jack to rca converter that is mono only. Oh and make sure all drivers and the old sound card have been removed from the computer, those sound cards are very picky about that i think.
