But I know of a pair in a local 'flea market'. I think they are a few hundred dollars but they've been there for a while.

I don't know this model, but could it be one pair of those "Mirage" bi-polars from the late 80's? The way they look they could also be a pair of subs...

I'm sure these aren't the following, but they sure look a lot like some speakers in a Radio Shack loudspeaker project book I used a lot back in the 80s. That particular enclosure design was for people who wanted a nice wood look, but didn't want to apply veneer which can be very tricky & time consuming.

I have never seen any speaker with screws visible on the cabinet itself, though some may have screws hidden behind the grille, like the Harbeth.
