The new Guitar World (11/01) has a hilarious interview with Zakk Wylde and Ozzy. In it, Zack says he wants to kick Dave Grohl's *** and refers to Nirvana at "Shitvana."

Anyway, the article mentions that the whole Ozzy catalog is going to be reissued with bonus tracks and 24-bit remastering. This topic came up a looong time ago on this forum, but I hadn't heard from it since. Anyone have a time frame?

Here's hoping the Randy Rhoads EP stuff makes it on CD, finally.

I'm not much into heavy metal or Ozzy, but I liked No more tears and bought the original CD, as well as the remaster from 1995 or so (those were the days when I thought that remastering always had to yield better sound, a rule that has long since been broken...)
I recall comparing both versions and was dissapointed to find no major, earth shattering sound improvement, other than a higher volume (the original 1990 CD was well recorded, IMO). Anyway, I liked the expanded booklet on the remaster and I kept it, selling the old version.
I'm certainly not buying that album again, as I doubt there can be much room for improvement. Remastering is no longer a selling point for me, but who knows? Time will tell.

I'm partial to Diary Of A Madman myself...That would rock my world on Gold CD or SACD...
