Patrick asked about this off board. This little file might help you determine your strengths and weaknesses with your system, output wize. It's a frequency sweep.

2Meg (wikkid small!) http://people.ne.mediaone.net/seekr/test.zip

Just unzip the file, then go to http://www.monkeysaudio.com/files/MAC_392b2_F.exe to download & install the program (3meg) to unpack the file as a full, untainted 16 bit wave file. It should then turn from 2 meg .ape file to a 12 meg 16-bit wav file. You can use your favorite CD software to burn this one minute Full Frequency test sweep to CDR. It's at -20dB but make sure you don't crank the ol' power if you're not sure the lower frequencies might BOOM!!

Enjoy. Watch rover's ears perk up, and your wife's fillings ratttle. Honey!! WTF IS THAT??

Heh heh. :p

Thanks but I'll stick with the sweep on the XLO (Sheffield) disc. It actually has a couple different sweeps on it. A great help in ensuring that your speakers are being driven linear.

Feel free to DAE that sucker, compress it, and post it somewhere!

Actually, it's OK Patrick (Thanks Greg!). I have a copy of the Sheffield disc(s). I was going to send you stuff anyways.
