My ode to SRV #1 Strat:

Tokai AST62 vintage neck, and a nice Japanese relic body to match. The electronics sound vintage (had them from another parts guitar that I bought several years ago that dated back to the early 80's).

So far, it feels reminiscent of a vintage 62 custom shop strat I played once in a guitar shop. I'm very impressed with Tokai guitar parts.

Where do you get them as parts?

Sweet looking axe. I've thought about a project like this. Nice work.

The electronics I had from a clapped out guitar that I was forced to retire.

The neck and body came from ebay.

IMHO, higher end Japanese parts offer the best value.

I just never see them, or at least rarely. I've had good luck with Warmoth.
