Steve... what do you think, when you hear classics which were remastered from other mastering engineers???
I’m always excitedwhen I see a release date of upcoming remasters from my all-time-favorites. Sometimes I’m very happy, when I can detect an improvement over the previous releases. For example the backkatalog from The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Simon & Garfunkel or Velvet Underground. But I’m VERY disappointed, when I must hear **** like the new re-release of The Who’s classics LIVE AT LEEDS. You can count me for the inferior sounding Jethro Tull’s, including the new compilation, supervised by Ian Anderson himself. The single remasters will follow... ”thanks” again to Ian Anderson. He also belongs in the club of deaf musicians!
I really don’t know, if I’m still alive when someone will do justice for The Beatles or The Stones’ Decca Years???
I know... you do not comment work from others, but I hope you can give me/us a little...
