Looks promising!
I had no idea the campaign to have the show renewed was so strong, 20 tons of NUTS!:)

Hey crimson - if this really gets renewed, I'm gonna jump up and down happy-like!
Than, I'm gonna ask a Gort to correct the title spelling on the thread. ;)

Sounds like good news to me. I just hope it's more than 8 episodes though. Eight episodes does not seem like much of a commitment, expect to tie up loose ends.

I hope it comes to pass!

ABC and CBS really screwed up when they put Lost and Jericho on a long hiatus this past winter. Both shows suffered in ratings and lost any momenum the show had going. This even hurt Heros some, also.
I just hope that Jericho can build back the momentum it had and continue on past the 8 episodes. If even if it is only 8 episodes, hopefully that will give the producers enough time to give some resolution to the storylines.

I'm glad to see this. I really enjoyed this series and liked the way the season ended. Not only did they kill off Gerald McRaney but they focused on what had caused the nukes to go off in the first place. Next season has definite promise. Meanwhile, they should have stuck to the plan to end Prison Break after 2 seasons. I can't see where they are going with that show next year...

Thats wild that you like they killed the father off!:D
I couldn't understand the reasoning behind it myself, but one of the articles mentions it was McRaney that wanted out.
If a new season airs I think we may come to find that he actually shot himself after realizing what a bone head move it was to order the Jericho tank to fire its only round at the other towns army truck, after it had already been abandoned! That truck was full of ammunition that they could have used.:shh: Made for a nice explosion though.

At another site they reprinted a letter from CBS president who tacked on a PS that said, please stop setting in the nuts.

Actually, Jericho is one of the few TV shows I even like. I'm glad they brought it back, unlike Carnivale.

Finally, some good news. It is probably good that they are going to rerun it. The only thing that I didn't like about the show was how they did the long "update" at the beginning of each episode. They must have shown some of those clips ten times.
Maybe the dvd set will be a better edit. You could probably watch it in 60% of the time without those tiresome "previously on Jerico" updates.

lord...bloody previously ons. Heroes is the worst for it, you have a show that's barely 41minutes- always with a 2minute previously on- and they actually repeat the last scene of the last episode on top of it all. I understand the show ain't cheap but c'mon- you could actually shave off a couple episodes without all that padding. If you need your hand held that much, perhaps it'd be best to stick to According to Jim or something like that.

How sweet it is! This is the most entertaining show I saw this past season, and it has a rather unique premise.
I'm sort of reminded of the Pat Frank novel "Alas, Babylon," written back in the 1950s. It has always been a favorite of mine, and the "Jericho" situation is quite reminiscent of that of "Babylon."
Perhaps the "brass" at CBS has a little more intelligence than I'd been willing to concede them before. And kudos to those who sent the 19 tons of nuts to CBS, echoing General McAuliffe's WW II remark to the Wehrmacht officer!

In the age of Media You Can Zap Through, I don't find the long recaps too annoying. Frankly, I enjoy spending only 41 minutes watching something others have to spend an hour to do in real-time (leaves more time for nose-picking, refreger-raiding and the occasional bathroom break)(or, serious pursuits like saving the world or internet porn). However long it takes to tell the story, is all I'd prefer spending on it; let a few pile-up on the hard-drive, and you've got dinner-and-a-movie!

I too am glad the Jericho is coming back. There's no way its going to be as good without Gerald McCraney but I'll be satidfied just to see what happens/happened.
