These titles appear on the Gold Realm web site. I have no idea whether they were actually assigned DCC catalog numbers or not. The Gold Realm web site lists several titles that were withdrawn or cancelled (including Bob Seger's Stranger in Town, 10CC's The Original Soundtrack and Rod Stewart's Never a Dull Moment, but not, oddly enough, Linda Rondstadt's Heart Like a Wheel), as well as a few titles that may still come out (knock on wood), like The Doors' Soft Parade and ZZ Top's Greatest Hits.
Wasn't ZZ Tops Greatest Hits sort of confirmed in a previous posting near the begining of the new board by Steve?

Hi,
I have Metallica "Ride the Lightning" on DCC gold CD, but I don't have it in front of me to list the cat #.
It is great.

Seem to recall that they couldn't get the master tape out of the UK for the Maiden title.
1984 I still have my fingers crossed for. It was supposed to be out over a year ago.
As someone else pointed out, Lightning exists.

The list your referring to is probably the one from John Harp's Gold And Vinyl page.
http://pages.prodigy.net/amicus1/
That list is here:
http://pages.prodigy.net/amicus1/rose.htm
And this is the page for the list of gold CD's from all labels:
http://pages.prodigy.net/amicus1/peach.htm
I asked a year ago who John Harp was and how he got this information, but didn't get an answer. He's probably a DCC employee and no one is supposed to confirm or deny the accuracy of his information, so I didn't press the issue.
It is my understanding from a "source" that some of the unissued titles on John's list were actually made clear to pressing some test discs before permission to release them was pulled and others the master tape is ready, but never pressed and other never even got to the being mastered stage-- just catolog number assigned.
