Just curious as to whether there are any sound cards with HDCD decoding. If anybody knows of one and can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

Haven't seen any. Using a 20- or 24-bit soundcard with the new Windows Media Player should work.

With Mac, can't help.

The Audigy and Audigy 2 sound cards have 24 bit DAC's so they'll do HDCD decoding. Just beware the software to play DVD-Audio that comes with the Audigy 2 card can't even find the stereo track in 2 out of the 3 DVD-Audio titles that I own.

Just to be precise, the HDCD decoding is done in software (the latest Windows Media Player). You just need a sound card with 20 or 24 bit DAC's to take advantage of it.
