Hi,
Has anyone heard this, specifically wondering how it stacks up against the MC-30. If I had one of these and a Mac-30, would the tonality be way off or are they a decent match?
Thanks,
Geoff

They sound different. I have rebuilt many C30's and A-116's. The tube compliment and circuit are different. The MC30 is colored, sweet and warm. The A-116 is a little bit brighter sounding than the MC30's. They are both great amps!

mind you I think an A-116B is an MC-30
the regular A-116 is a grey metal amp with sharp corners - it looks a lot older
if it's silver and has the round black towers it's an A-116B
maybe that's obvious but just in case....
