Sony STR-DE1075 info???

I have one of these that I am trying to use as my primary player for SACD and DVD-A...It has 2 sets of multichannel inputs BUT when I have my players connected to the unit thru them I cannot get the EQ to function...Does anyone know anything about this unit and if so is that normal...I have no way to adjust the volume or tone shape in any of the speakers, yet the eq functions with all the other settings( tape, video etc)...also the surround features do not work thru multichannel...I think that is the way it is supposed to be at least that is what the book says , but it does not say anything in the manual about the eq not working when in multi channel

Thanks...I e mailed them this am and they were no help..They suggested I take it in for service...LOL, that is what I expected them to say

When you go through those analog 5.1 inputs you cant use any of the amps digital controls which includes signal processing or eq. Its just a clean analog pass through. You are supposed to use the players decoders.

Thank you for the info...I do not think my DVD-A player has an eq built in and it does not have volume controls for each speaker....Is there such a thing as a 5.1 eq?
