Either I missed the chat entirely, or I just don't know how to listen in on it. Would you mind telling us any details you picked up regarding Blade Runner??

Here's what was said about Blade Runner last night at the Warner chat:
Any news on the big Blade Runner SE (i.e. release date, contents, etc)?
The Tyrell Corporation is furiously working away on a release to knock your socks off before the holiday season. The contents are still being formulated. All the different iterations of the film will be available, including the new FINAL CUT. We think you'll be very pleased, and it will have been worth the wait!
Thank you for the chat. Will there be a multi-disc HD set for Blade Runner? Or will HD buyers get only one version, like the Superman: The Movie HD edition? Looking forward to more HD titles this year...any hints as to titles to be announced soon (Harry Potter perhaps...)?
There will be a lot more HD product announced (HD-DVD and Blu Ray Disc) by us in the next few weeks. We hope you'll be pleased. It is our intention to have the BLADE RUNNER releases all contain the same content, regardless of format.

I hope by the time they put this out that the HD DVD and/or bluray formats will still exist.
The original plan was for 1st quarter of 2007, wasn't it?

Was it? I never heard that, only about it being released in 2007.

Let's hope Harrison Ford consents to some form of extensive interview for the release. His lack of interest really hurts any material released regarding the background to 'Blade Runner'.
He finally relented for the 'Star Wars' films. Let's hope he does for this, too.

I don't like Harrison Ford's attitude about the films that made him famous. It seems like he's only fond of the job he did on the Indiana Jones films. If Indy is the best he can pull out of him as an actor...

Looks like the recent DVD is out of print, so maybe the new one is coming soon.

Many have said the 'Blade Runner' set was a tough one, with Ridley Scott (under the gun) being extremely demanding of his crew and with little concern for direction of (or 'collaboration' with) the 'actors' (in the traditional sense). Apparently, Ford likes a lot of direction and to contribute ideas as filming is undertaken. Ultimately, it's clear that Scott's decisions paid off, but there's also the question of the original 'narration' which Ford (unwillingly) provided, and the mangling the film received by the studio. I've no doubt all of this contributed to Ford's attitude to 'Blade Runner'.
Still, it would be nice if, 25 years on, he could soften somewhat and offer up some words for a DVD release.

That's a tantalizing set, but I won't believe it till it actually ships.

That aren't accepting any overseas orders. I'm waiting for the HD DVD (or blu-ray) version anyway.

Blade Runner is one of my all time greats with Sean Young looking fantastic...
At one time I had 3 versions of the film on VHS. The original, the un-cut version which had a lot more blood, and the Director's cut which took out the voice over by Harrison Ford and had a different ending.
Can't wait to get a good copy on DVD.

I posted this because it's the first detailed announcement of the set by a store. I'm certain the same set will be released in the US around the same time, maybe with a different packaging.

On another forum it has been stated that the Ultimate Matrix HD-DVD set (the first few copies have arrived ahead of street date) contains a flyer stating that Blade Runner will be coming to HD-DVD in October 2007 - time to get very, very excited. I have both the CLV and CAV Laserdiscs, but strangely never bought the DVD - talk about an upgrade...
