Six discs including the Holy Mountain soundtrack - for an SRP of 49.98! That's $10 less than what I just sold my Fantoma copy of Fando y Lis for! It was about time for some good news.

Fantastic! Sign me up.
Wonder if they will re-issue the El Topo Apple LP soundtrack on CD. (Glad I kept my mint copy.)

I love these films! El Topo is like Leone on acid... :D
I saw many of these at late night showings about 13 years ago. Memories...;)

Played the El Topo soundtrack CD in the car this afternoon - sounds fantastic considering its age! Another very pleasant surprise.

Heard the Holy Mountain soundtrack. These CDs were done right.
Kudos to producers Teri Landi and Mick Gochanour, and mastering engineer Joe Yannece. The quality of the soundtracks included in this set was an unexpected surprise.
I got the Jodorowsky box from Newbury Comics last weekend for only $28. What a bargain!
I finally watched El Topo yesterday. It looks magnificent and much better than my old VHS dupe. Jodorowsky is a hoot and I highly recommend listening to the commentary track. It's almost as entertaining as the film itself.

I watched it, for the first time, last night. My sister loathes this movie, and I can understand that reaction, but I'll have to view this again, if not several times, to take it all in. I only watched a few minutes with the commentary on, but it does seem like it will be entertaining, as well as informative.
That's the cool thing with Jodorowsky. It *does* take saveral viewings to "get" it. Wait til you get to "Holy Mountain"!!! :D
Fernando Arrabal is a similar surrealist director, in fact he and Jodorowsky were part of the same theater troupe. I just got Arrabal's box set and I anxiously await checking his stuff out. I guess his films aren't at all for the faint of heart....

The transfer is fantastic on this set. So far, I have just seen El Topo, but even if you look at the original trailer for this movie, you can see what a huge disparity in quality it is from the movie.

I saw this for the first time last week. Can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest. I found it average really. Was expecting a bit more "weirdness". Didn't do much for me.

This is what i want to know, is it possible that in a post-Lynch, post-Ken Russel, and after watching Takashi Miike's wonderful films, will film effect me in the same way it must've for the people of the 1970's? Please give opinions.... oh, and "Greaser's Palace"! How do these films match up to the ones I've mentioned here?
