Hey, sckott. Looks like this is actually working!

Now, how about Who's Next...;-)

I just caught my first mint Decca US copy, seems like a just-before-MCA label reissue. A lot of the early Decca Lps had a smooth texture to the label, this one isn't like that, although it's alarmingly clean.

This copy of Who's Next is one of the worst sonic-wize vinyl issues ever, so far. I snarfed it at an electronic convention for $1.00. ;) but I also got an old Dave Brubeck LP of "Jazz @ College" earlier than the 6-eye, and weighs a ton, feels like shellac. I wish it didn't skip at the end though. :(

I took the ol' reliable Hoffmaned WN and threw it on the HD at work as mp3. Even down as MP3 that still makes me turn my head.

Here's some WN fun for everyone.... Sorry to say, Luke, it's mainly and mostly for Windows...

As long as we're on The Who, why don't you check this out:

My latest mix (a sync-up) of Time Is Passing. Not perfect, but getting there. Once I get a newer version of this software I'll re-do it, using the techniques I learned while doing this one...

"Who's Next" is sadly and ironically the question on everyone's mind right now.

My sincere thoughts and heartfelt feelings on people who are effected by the WTC fall. A lot of media, TV and record labels are directly effected, as well as innocent people who may have died from inhillation.

Once I heard this sotry unfolded I grabed a $5 portable radio, hooked it into a computer-speaker amplifier and sat there shocked. I coulnd't believe I worked on anything at all (I live in East Mass.. not NY) For those who weren't listening, the most interesting, passionate and insightful audio was the Howard Stern Show. You could hear a lot of real feelings and fear in it, and the chronological events unfold with the broadcast. Anything more shocking would certainly be in the black boxes of those planes. I'm listening to the feed as tonight I watch taped footage from this morning.

If anyone plays chess, you KNOW what move this is called.

No music today. Sorry.

Anyone remember what "War Of The Worlds" Columbia Broadcast sounded like? The rest of the media sounded like that in modern intensity. I'm beside myself. Again, I'm sorry and angry and a bit frightened about the next step. My regards.

Hi guys. I can't concentrate on music either. I hope you all are ok, and so are your family and friends. . .

Despite the somber occasion of our fallen brothers and sisters back in the East Coast, I'm grateful to see that the DCC Maniacs Society is back in session after nearly two weeks of inactivity. Hopefully, in the weeks and months to come after this terrorist incident in NYC, DC and PA, we'll all be able to pick up the pieces and eventually move on. Until then, I'm sure all of our prayers are with the victims, survivors and
their families and friends. Obsessing about
music and hi-fi feels so trivial at a time like this, but given enough time and healing,
we'll come back to this activity full-bore,
albeit a little wiser and sadder. Peace!null

Hi Sckott and all on the board. Nice to be on the new board. Since I'm in the process of moving back home, "Ed In Seattle" is now Ed In NY. It's nice to see us all back together. More than ever now after 6 years I can't wait to be home again !

Greetings to all. It's nice to be back, although I'm sure music is the last thing on a lot of our minds.

I'm specifically worried about TommyTunes. I haven't heard from him, and he's a native New Yorker with a home in GA. I hope everyone in his camp is ok. He's a great guy.

It's nice to see the new place, I hope it work out for everyone. But to say that we are all distracted is the is an understatment!

Gather your loved ones, your music and your blessings and maybe we'll be in better (safer and calmmer) mood tommrow. :)

Hi everyone. I'm back also.

For any of you who want to know, I live only a few minutes from the terrible WTC destruction. What you guys see on TV doesnt give you the real picture...it looks like a bomb dropped onto NYC.

I hope Bush acts soon!!
