INTELLIGENCE is a stupid name (IMO) for an interesting crime-espionage drama that started last Fall, and resumes tomorrow night.

It's quite good, tho it has a few aspects that make me raise my eye-brows. :D

Anyone else care for it?

The second season started last night.

The CIA mole in CSIS is dead, and the DEA officer is attempting a frame of the Canadian drug dealer.

I tried watching it a couple of times last season, but it didn't hold my interest. Your brief synopsis above tells me it's a stereotypical CBC production. With the world in the shape it's in, the show protrays the bad guys we have to worry most about as Americans. Yeah, right.

Interesting angle on anti-Americanism, I hadn't considered that. There are rival drug dealers, and bureaucratic infights too :)

I find it quite intense, with a lot of psychological insight into betrayals, mixed motives, and nitty gritty.

But considerably different than 24, and MI 5, which are the only programs in the genre that I've watched in years.

I started watching the first season after I read Lauren Lee Smith was on it; great description, the intensity really pulls you in and you'll end up hooked on the show.

I find the Jimmy Reardon character unlikely - he's too soft-hearted to be running the strip club - drug dealer - gang leader - informant type. No Tony Soprano he :).

But I am finding it addictive.

Addicts alert!

Tonight is apparently the season ending, but at an earlier hour, as two episodes are being shown back to back.
