The next time you start getting an attitude about how strong and
powerful you personally think you are...just remember that a single common thunderstorm
has many more times the energy of the largest nuclear warhead that man can make.
That doesn't include hurricanes, tornadoes and the nasty weather. I mean just a
plain old summertime thunderstorm....
I've been fascinated with the weather for years and about 8
years ago I picked up a magazine called SCIENCE PROBE! with a guy named Warren Faidley on the cover. He has trademarked the term Storm
Chaser® which he does fulltime. His tapes are the first that I purchased and I
highly recommend his video tapes for your collection. Unfortunately his photography for
commercial enterprises now takes most of his time, so it's a good thing I the incredible Tornado
Project.
I certainly don't want to slight Mr. Faidley in any
fashion and I invite you to visit his web site. He has
been most gracious on the phone when he has answered it himself and his videos and
photographs are first class. His job, though is to get out there and chase and that
doesn't leave him time to put together new videos, etc.
By the same token, Tom Grazulis
and The Tornado Project are keeping things moving
with a brand new video tape and book that will knock your socks off. He has been doing
research and making films, videos and putting together books on weather for decades. Do
not miss his web site!!
Warren and Tom's web sites are certainly not the only one's. For current weather
information for your area you can go to the Weather Channel® which I also included
on the front page of this site and if you would like things a little more personal, go to
the AccuWeather
page. Of course there are lots of place to get weather information and if you want to see
what's going on in an area you can. Just go to the WebCam Page. If
you really can't get enough weather information, then by all means go to Patrick's
Weather Center and the National Weather Service with three pages. One for low speed, one for medium
speed and a new page for high
connection speed users!!
